Heart
This is from an album produced by John Miller, one of music's original thinkers, who on another occasion had me (a mild mannered trombone player) utter the word "apparently" at random intervals in a concert performance of one of his pieces. It taught me something - I'm not sure what but I do recall experimenting with ways of uttering that word, getting mesmerised and occasionally a tad self conscious. I did appreciate the arrival of the next piece in the programme where I could pick up the trombone.
Summertime
This is not the Summertime by George Gershwin. It is, however, Summertime by Jacob Nieman (nephew). I really enjoyed playing on it and the privilege of playing for another generation of musicians.
